Moto X Price Drops to $0.01 on Amazon for AT&T and Sprint Customers
The Moto X price dropped to just $0.01 for customers who purchase the device on Amazon with a new contract through either AT&T or Sprint.
Unfortunately the new deal will not allow buyers to customize their device using Moto Maker, but it is still great savings for anyone looking to pick up the handset. The Moto X is also available through Verizon for this price. All three carriers are offering the device in black and white.
Various carriers such as T-Mobile have already begun rolling out Android 4.4, KitKat for the Moto X.

Unlike AT&T's soak test, T-Mobile fully rolled out the software to the device. It will be pushed out in phases so it could take a few days to reach certain people.
New features on KitKat include enhancements such as restyled status and navigation bars, a new full-screen mode, color emoji support, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, and an improved phone app with the ability to look up contacts directly from the dial pad. The camera will gain a touch to focus feature as well.
The update should begin rolling out for AT&T users soon as the carrier began soak testing the software two days ago.
Motorola sent out emails to AT&T Moto X owners that are part of the Motorola Feedback Network that contained invites for them to take part in a software soak test earlier this week. The company did not identify if this was KitKat, but it seems pretty likely as Verizon ran a similar test and Motorola confirmed it would be rolling out the software soon at the Moto G event.
Soak tests normally happen shortly before an official roll out, so AT&T's should not be that far away. Verizon's recent update indicates that it should be no more than a few days before all AT&T Moto X users can enjoy KitKat.
