Moto X+1 (X2), Moto G2 Release Date: Specs and Features Revealed, 'New Moto X' Available Sept. 10

Motorola's Moto X2 (Moto X+1), Moto G2, Moto 360 made their debut on Thursday. The company had a a press event to announce four new products. The three gadgets were launched at the company's headquarters in Chicago.

Instead of using the rumored name of Moto X+1 or Moto X2, the company simply introduced their latest flagship handset as the "new Moto X."

The Moto X has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 424 ppi, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor that clocks at 2.5 GHz, an Adreno 330 graphics chip and 2GB RAM. It comes with a 13MP shooter, 1080p video recording, a 2300mAh battery. In addition, the smartphone comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the choice of 16 GB or 32 GB of memory.

As for its appearance, it is said to be highly customizable like its predecessor, and comes with an aluminum frame. Motorola also offers wood and leather options in natural, cognac, black and navy colors. The back of the phone is curved outwards, so while the bezel is thin, the rest of the phone isn't. It's also a few grams heavier than its predecessor, but it isn't very noticeable, according to reports.

The Moto X also has some impressive features like Moto Voice, which allows for voice activation of apps, Moto Display, which can show up to three customizable alerts despite the phone's screen being off, and Moto Assist, which can read texts aloud and automatically set the phone on silent during a meeting. Moto Actions allows users to wave a hand in front of the device to activate various features .

As for the gadgets' release, the new Moto X will made available to the public on Sept. 10.
