Motorola Moto G (2015) Specs, Rumors: Video Showcases the Third-Gen Moto G

Earlier last week, a host of live images featuring what appears to be the alleged next iteration of Motorola's Moto G was shown and over the weekend, yet another teaser, this time in a video footage, has surfaced online.

A report from GSM Arena cited a YouTube video showing the purported 2015 edition of Motorola's handset which goes by the codename of Osprey. Details about the full technical specifications of the upcoming device were disclosed as it was shown running with the CPU-Z app.

It was found out that the Moto G 2015 will come with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 pixels with 320 DPI HD display. It has huge bezels which house a front speaker, a 3.5mm audio port at the top and a micro USB port on the bottom of it. Its volume and power buttons are located on the right side.

Under the hood can be found a quad-core 1.4 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC CPU (MSM8916) with an Adreno 306 GPU on board. The phone comes with a 1GB worth of RAM.

The upcoming device was also featured sporting a 13MP primary camera packed with a dual LED flash function and is coupled with a 5MP front snapper.

Despite the rather impressive specs, the device will only have an 8GB of internal storage. Several publications however believed that the tech company will integrate a microSD card slot to allow memory storage expansion.

The device will meanwhile support 4G LTE connectivity and will come out-of-the-box with Android 5.1.1. Lollipop OS installed. It scored a decent 23355 in the AnTuTu benchmark.

As for the release date, reports said that the third-gen Moto G will see a July outing date.
