Motorola Moto X (2015) Specs, Release Date: Upcoming Flagship Appears In Alleged Close-Up Images

The Motorola Moto X (2015 edition) is among the high-end devices that will make its way to the market in the coming months. According to previous reports, the Android-powered smartphone will be announced in an event on July 28, together with its midranger sibling, the Moto G (2015 edition).

As the third edition of the Motorola flagship, the Moto X this year is expected to boast most if not all of the high-end specs that other flagship smartphones have these days.

But before going official next week, the Motorola Moto X (2015) allegedly showed up for an unofficial pictorial via a leaked image. In the report by GSM Arena, the image appeared online and was shared via social media.

Based on the images, this version of the Moto X would support similar design compared to its predecessor, probably including the swappable back covers. However, the inner specs are definitely better, and at par with the best in the Android market today.

The upcoming Motorola flagship will reportedly boast a either a 5.2 or 5.5-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, a 4GB RAM, and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.

Other specs include a 16MP primary camera that appears to get a more traditional LED flash as shown in the leaked images. In addition, the Moto X also rocks an LED flash in front to accompany the 5MP front shooter - definitely a treat for selfie enthusiasts.

Rounding up the rumored specs include a 32GB or 64GB built in storage, Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and a 3,280mAh battery.
