Motorola Moto X 2015 Specs, Rumors, Release Date: Motorola Finally Moving Into QHD Territory With Upcoming Flagship?
Motorola may be a little bit late in its flagship release, but it is still on track. Last year, the Lenovo-owned company unveiled and released its Moto X (2014 edition) in September, competing with other flagship brands during the IFA event in Berlin.
However, as the trend quickly changes, Motorola may need to unveil the 3rd generation flagship sooner. Samsung, LG and other mobile phone makers are already releasing their respective smartphones, and if Motorola fails to deliver soon, they may not be able to get the attention of the market.
Fortunately, it looks like the upcoming Moto X (2015 edition) will come with some juicy improvements compared to its predecessors.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the device will boast a 5.2-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, which is the first time the flagship lineup gets a screen resolution higher than Full HD or 1920 x 1080.
In addition to the screen, rumors are also claiming that the next-generation Motorola Moto X will pack a Snapdragon 810 chipset with octa-core CPU and a high-end 4GB RAM.
Rounding up the rumored specs list include a 16MP primary camera, 5MP front shooter, either a 32GB or 64GB built-in storage, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and a 3,280mAh battery.
