Motorola X Phone Release Date for T-Mobile Delayed?

The Motorola X Phone release date for T-Mobile customers could be delayed.

The carrier is apparently having issues with finalizing a deal with Motorola, according to a report from 9to5 Google. All major U.S. carriers including Verizon, AT&T, U.S. Cellular and Sprint will offer the Moto X Phone when it is released.

There have been unofficial images of the device leaking for most of the major U.S. carriers, however, a T-Mobile version still has not been spotted which backs up this latest rumor. There also has never been an FCC filing for a T-Mobile Moto X. AT&T, U.S. Cellular, Sprint and Verizon have all had the device at FCC.

This could mean that T-Mobile does not plan on releasing the Moto X Phone at all, or will launch it somewhere down the line once it's out for the other companies.

The handset is expected to be unveiled on Aug. 1 with the rumored release date for Verizon to be on Aug. 23 followed by U.S. Cellular on Aug. 26.

The AT&T version was spotted by Android Police earlier this week. The site posted up multiple pictures of the Moto X Phone along with some information on its specs which it derived from the photos.

The specs discovered by it included a dual-core Qualcomm S4 Pro MSM8960DT 1.7GHz CPU with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, a 4.5-inch display, a 2.1-megapixel front camera, 10.5-megapixel rear camera, Android 4.2.2, JellyBean, 16GB of internal memory, NFC, a 2,200 mAh battery, and no microSD support.

An August launch for the device was also hinted at by Leo Laporte, who appeared on Twit's "This Week in Google" program earlier this week.

Laporte also attended Motorola's recent media event where the new device was believed to have made an appearance and spoke about it while on the show.
