Huawei Watch Specs, Details Unveiled: New Android Smartwatch Exude Style and Function at MWC 2015 Event

Among the many devices unveiled in the 2015 Mobile World Congress yesterday is Huawei's newest Android smartwatch and for those who witnessed the reveal concur that the round-faced timepiece truly radiates style and comparable technology.

A report from IGN pointed out the Android Wear from the Chinese mobile tech manufacturer as a device "designed to ride the line between luxury styling and functionality."

Compared to that of the upcoming Apple Watch, Huawei chose to present theirs with a more "traditional" look, a round-face design.

The Sydney Morning Herald also applauded the gizmo's striking "balance between phone-powered functionality and the ease and good looks for a traditional watch.

Touted as a big contender in "the age of watch design," the Huawei smartwatch is said to feature a sapphire crystal face with an encasement made of stainless steel which will be available in silver, black, or gold color option. The company said that they are planning to offer leather and stainless strap options.

The face presents a 400x400 AMOLED display which can be customized from a choice of 40 unique watch interfaces.

Under the hood, the Huawei wearable tech is processed by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm APQ8026 processor and runs on the latest Android Wear OS.

Needless to mention, the hi-tech watch will also feature "health tracking capabilities" which will go in synch with the company's upcoming TalkBand update.

Other details including the price and shipment dates are yet to be announced but the website said that it will likely be available soon in "most of both North and South America and Europe."
