My Nintendo Program News: Four Indie Games Now Available in Exchange for Gold Points

Nintendo is offering a new selection of rewards in its My Nintendo program.

For the first time ever, Nintendo is offering a good selection of Indie games for the 3DS and Wii U console owners as part of the growing roster of its slated rewards under its My Nintendo program.

For a limited time, 3DS owners and members of the program can use their Gold points for "Zen Pinball" and the platformer "Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo," while Wii U owner members, on the other hand, can use their points in availing "Art of Balance" and "Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien."

Those interested in receiving "Zen Pinball" will need to spend 50 gold points on the offer which lasts until December 27 later this year while 60 gold points are needed to avail of "Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo," which will be available only until Nov. 27.

"Art of Balance," meanwhile, requires 70 gold points while "Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien" can be availed of for 90 gold points. Both games will be available in the program until November 27 as well.

Some game pundits can't help but point out, though, that the above-mentioned four games offered in the Gold category are the priciest so far in My Nintendo program. On the average, other games on the roster can be availed of for only 30 gold points.

For the uninitiated, My Nintendo was launched in fall 2015 as a replacement for Club Nintendo. Collecting points in the program can be done by playing and completing missions from Nintendo's mobile games. However, the gold points come from the purchase of Nintendo software, with the number of gold points a member gets depending on how expensive a purchase is.
