'Nashville' Season 3 News: Connie Britton Talks About Show, Season Premiere to Feature Live Performances

"Nashville" is set to debut its third season this week, and fans can't wait to see what's in store for country queen Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panetierre), and the rest of the cast of the hit musical drama series.

Connie Britton talked about the show and filming in Nashville in an interview with Billboard.

"All of us on the cast and crew have been here for over two years," said Britton. "Nashville makes it so easy, because this town is so incredibly welcoming and warm."

"Our show has been so appreciated by everyone here and in the music business in general … Everyone in the cast has loved immersing ourselves in this town," she added.

The season premiere of "Nashville" will feature an episode that will switch between taped scenes and live musical routines for both coasts, featuring the actors in the series.

The upcoming season will also feature "Dancing With the Stars" dance pro Derek Hough as "beguiling and disarming" movie star Noah West. TVLine reported that he has joined the ABC drama for a multi-episode season 3 arc.

Other guest stars include Alexa Vega as Gunnar's (Sam Palladio) long-lost love Kiley, and Mykelti Williamson as street singer Terry, who is about to get his big break.

The season premiere trailer sees Rayna who is about to make a big decision on her love life. In the season 2 cliffhanger, she is torn between Luke (Will Chase) whom she agreed to marry, and Deacon (Charles Esten), who proposed to her at the end of the finale. Will she finally make her choice between the two men?

"Nashville" Season 3 will premiere on Sept. 24 at 10/9c on ABC.
