Natalie Grant and Sandi Patty are coming together for one of the Christian concert events of the year Aug. 3 in Tampa, Fla.
"Natalie and I are so excited to perform together in concert for the first time," said Patty through Big Machine Media. "We can't wait to be at Bell Shoals Baptist Church on August 03."
Grant is currently the Gospel Music Association (GMA) Female Vocalist of the Year fifth time and has compiled over 10 top five hits such as: "Your Great Name," "Held," and "In Better Hands." Grant is one of the top Christian artists of the last decade, selling millions of albums combined.
"Natalie Grant is the real deal, not only on the stage but also off-stage. Not only is she a talented performer and songwriter, she is a wonderful mother of three beautiful girls and she has an incredible husband that she adores," said Patty in a press release. "She is incredibly special to me."
Patty is known as the "Voice of Christian Music" and is the most successful female artist in Christian music. Over the last 35 years Patty has sold over twelve million albums, received five Grammy Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, 40 GMA Dove Awards, which includes an 11-year run as female vocalist of the year. She was recently inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
"Sandi Patty is a big reason why we have contemporary Christian music," said Grant through Big Machine Media. "She truly is an icon."
"I had the oppoturnity to sing with Sandi once before, but this is the first time we have performed a concert together," said Grant. "OK, I am a little bit nervous, I am going to do my vocal warm ups, and then I look forward to sitting in the audience and to be reminded once again why I adore Sandi Patty."
Grant will be releasing her first new album in three years, Burn Bright, this fall. The first single, "Hurricane," entered as No. 1 on Christian radio playlists and is currently the No. 1 Christian single on iTunes.
"I am excited about the oppoutnity to share new music with you," stated Grant in a release. "The record is full of positive, encouraging songs that will help you have an anchor of hope that is only found in Jesus Christ. It is the reason why I make music, and this evening will be full of songs that will help you along in your journey of faith."
The concert is Saturday, August 3, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the main auditorium of Bell Shoals Baptist Church.
