NBA 2014 Trade Rumors: Roy Hibbert to Be Traded to the Cavaliers? Raptors to Get Kyle Lowry?

As the 2014-2015 NBA Game season fast approaches, more and more trade rumors are coming out from the hoop grapevine. Here's what we've heard so far.

Digital Journal reported a possible trade between Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert with a couple of players from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Even with their former star player (LBJ) coming home to play on their side, the Cavs still are opting to increase their chances of getting into the playoffs.

Aside from LeBron James, the Cavs also managed to snatch Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Love. Given that, the 27-year-old center will certainly complete their ideal lineup.

The Pacers, on the other hand, are vying to acquire Cavs' center Anderson Varejao and guard Dion Waiters in exchange for Hibbert.

Another name mentioned in the recent NBA trade rumors 2014 is Kyle Lowry from Toronto Raptors. Becoming a free agent this summer, Masai Ujiri spoke with Toronto Sun to say that they are not planning to deal the 28-year-old point guard and that they opted to keep him in the team for the next several seasons.

Franchise Herald cited in their report that Ujiri and the management admitted they were first unsure if they really wanted to keep the Philadelphian native. Eventually, they penned him a four-year, $48 million contract deal.

"He does have a presence," Ujiri said of Lowry. "He plays hard. He has the edge. That's the honest truth - he does have an edge. You can call him what you want. He does this or he does that. He has the edge. And he wants to win. He's very competitive every single game."

Lowry made his breakout year in the painted area last season when he averaged career highs of 17.9 points, 7.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. With him around, the Raptors managed to advance to the previous season's playoffs.
