NBA 2016-2017 Roster: Top 3 Teams That Will Showcase Most Number of New Players

With several rumors about the trade, signed contracts, and waived or drafted players before the much-anticipated NBA 2016-2017 season, three teams can be considered most drastically changing their lineups since last season. Fans can expect at least 10 new players from those who made into the list of most number of new players.

Brooklyn Nets will showcase the most number of new players in their roster this 2016-2017 season, with a total of 11 new players added to their lineup while sacrificing 10 from the original roster last season, retaining only five player from their 2015-2016 setup including Bojan Bogdanovic, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Sean Kilpatrick, Brook Lopez and Chris McCullough. The Nets sent out five players to Miami Heat: Markel Brown, Wayne Ellington, Sergey Karasev, Shane Larkin and Willie Reed. Four players were traded to the Pacers, including Thomas Robinson, Henry Sims, Donald Sloan and Thaddeus Young, while Jarrett Jack will go with Atlanta Hawks.

Seven players will fill the vacuum: Anthony Bennett, Trevor Booker, Yogi Ferrell, Randy Foye, Justin Hamilton, Joe Harris and Caris LeVert. The biggest acquisition so far is Charlotte Hornets' Jeremy Lin along with hotshots Luis Scola, Greivis Vásquez and Isaiah Whitehead.

The Nets also aired interest in Dion Waiters of Oklahoma and Jan Vesely. If these pushed through, it is good as saying that the Brooklyn Nets started from basically nothing, with a potential 13 new players in their lineup.

Another New York-based team made drastic changes: the Knicks will retain just five players while sacrificing nine pieces. Carmelo Anthony, Kyle O'Quinn, Kristaps Porzingis, Lance Thomas and Sasha Vujacic will still play with the squad. Three players from Chicago Bulls will join the Knicks, including Justin Holiday, Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose. Brandon Jennings from Orlando and Courtney Lee of Charlotte were in, and four players were acquired through the draft including Ron Baker, Willy Hernangomez, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Maurice Ndour and Marshall Plumlee.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia 76ers is the best example of a team benifiting from a higher salary cap, being able to sent out only four players while acquiring 10 new faces. Elton Brand and Isaiah Canaan are bound to the Bulls, Ish Smith will go with the Pistons, while Christian Wood found a ticket to the Hornets.

Only two players will hail from other teams including Jerryd Bayless from the Bucks and Trailblazers' Gerald Henderson.

The other new 76ers came from the draft, including Cat Barber, Shawn Long, Timothe Luwawu, Brandon Paul, Sergio Rodriguez, Dario Saric, Ben Simmons and James Webb.
