NBA Trade Rumors, News 2015: Lance Stephenson, Brook Lopez and 3 Others Involved in a 3-Way Trade

The latest NBA trade rumors said that the Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, and Oklahoma City Thunder are involved in a three-way trade that is said to send Lance Stephenson to his hometown team.

The 24-year-old shooting guard who previously played for Indiana Pacers will join the Nets, Charlotte Observer reported. The three-way trade would also displace Brooklyn's center Brook Lopez to OKC. Meanwhile, Charlotte would have Jarrett Jack from Nets as well as Jeremy Lamb and Grant Garrett from OKC.

"The Hornets, who have been trying to move Stephenson for more than a month, want to make the deal, and Oklahoma City has agreed as well, leaving the Nets as the only holdout," ESPN wrote.

Stephenson entered Hornets in July with a three-year, $27.4 million contract deal. However, it appears that the Brooklyn native was having a hard time playing with the new team.

"It has been an awkward situation, where Stephenson has struggled to collaborate with new teammates. Both he and point guard Kemba Walker need the ball extensively to excel and that has made for an awkward situation," the Charlotte Observer wrote.

Aside from the names mentioned above, a report from USA Today also pointed out Thunder's center Kendrick Perkins also likely to head for the Nets.

Previous NBA trade rumors have accounted both Lopez and Perkins rooted for a deal.

Already losing seven straight games this season, Brooklyn's GM Billy King is already on the lookout for the outcome of the talks.
