NBA Trades and Free Agent Tracker for 2016-17 Season: Celtics Looking for Big Trade, Brooks to Pacers

The noise and commotion that NBA Free Agency made in its early stages has quieted a bit, and teams are now getting a first-hand look at how their roster has improved; what their strength and weak point/s are, and if they have to fill up any holes they may have made after the raucous and lucrative free agency.

Here are the latest NBA Trade and Free Agency updates.

1. Celtics Still Looking for Trade Deal

The general consensus among NBA insiders that Danny Ainge, General Manager of the Boston Celtics, is looking for a blockbuster trade that will get the Celtics and impact player that can make an immediate, major, positive change to the franchise.

The Celtics have a large collection of young NBA stars and draft picks that they can use for that trade.
During the draft, the Celtics tried to get Khris Middleton and Jimmy Butler, but the current teams of both players were uninterested.

The team will probably pry on the following players, according to Basketball Insiders: Gordon Hayward, Greg Monroe, and possibly Rudy Gay.

2. Pacers sign Aaron Brooks

Eight-year NBA veteran Aaron Brooks signs a one-year contract with the Indiana Pacers. The details of the contract were not disclosed due to a team policy.

According to Larry Bird, President of Basketball Operations for the Pacers, "Aaron is a proven point guard in the NBA. He can create and shoot the three."

Brooks played his last two season with the Chicago Bulls. Last season, he averaged 7.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

3. Kyle Collinsworth to Dallas

Kyle Collinsworth signed with the Dallas Mavericks. The deal was undisclosed due to a team policy.
Collinsworth is a 6'6" 210-pound guard from BYU. He averaged 12.2 points, 5.0 assists, 7.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals. He even set the record for the most number of triple-doubles in NCCA with 12.

Collinsworth also played for Dallas in the Summer League, where he averaged 4.2 points, 2.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in 6 games.

4. Galloway, Moore and Hill sign with Pelicans

The Pelicans signed unrestricted free agents, E'Twaun Moore, Solomon Hill and Langston Galloway. The details of their contracts were not disclosed.

According to Dell Demps, General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Pelicans, "These guys are two-way players that have been on our radar for quite some time. We wanted to stick with with the theme of adding young veterans that can enhance our program while growing with our team."

5. Other NBA trade and free agency updates

Jason Terry said he received confirmation that he will not return to Houston Rockets. Delonte West says he is trying to make a comeback year this season. Charlotte gets NBA All Star Game 2017. Ty Lawson feels he's been overlooked in Free Agency.
