NBA Trade Deadline 2015 News: Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons Make Major Moves
There was a lot of action right before the NBA trade deadline. The biggest move of the day was the Phoenix Suns sending guard Goran Dragic to the Miami Heat. There were a pair of three team deals, and a few teams made other moves just ahead of the 3 p.m. trading deadline.
With Dorjic demanding a trade and the Suns more than happy to move on from him after the deal with Miami was completed they orchestrated a three team deal with the Milwaukee Bucks for PG Brandon Knight, according to ESPN. In that deal Milwaukee receives PG Michael Carter Williams from Philly, PF Miles Plumlee and PG Tyler Ennis from Phoenix. The 76ers received a draft pick in the deal.
The Detroit Pistons made a pair of moves one with the Boston Celtics to reacquire Tayshaun Prince who is on an expiring deal and a three team deal to land PG Reggie Jackson from the Oklahoma City Thunder. In that deal Detroit gave up PG DJ Augustin and SF Kyle Singler (which made the Prince acquisition necessary for their starting lineup). In that trade the Thunder those two players from the Pistons in addition to C Enes Canter and PF Steve Novak from the Utah Jazz. The Jazz received Kendrick Perkins.

The Brooklyn Nets sent Kevin Garnett back to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Thaddeus Young. The Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards swapped point guards, and the Philadelphia 76ers picked up another first round protected pick from the Denver Nuggets in a deal for the rights for Cenk Akyol.
In one of the bigger deals of the day the Portland Trailblazers sent four players to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for primarily SG Aaron Affalo and SF Alonzo Glee. In exchange the Nuggets get PF Thomas Robinson, SG Will Barton, PH Victor Claver, and a protected first round pick.
Now coaches and GM's have to find out how their new pieces fit into what each team is trying to do.
