'NCIS' Cast News, Update: Former Cast Member Cote de Pablo Hints Of Ziva's Possible Return

Actress Cote de Pablo made the entertainment headlines a year-and-a-half ago when CBS police-procedural drama TV series "NCIS" cut off her involvement in the show's 11th season for some undisclosed reasons.

Portraying the fan-favorite Ziva David in the said series for 8 seasons, the actress recently opened up her sentiments with TVLine about the character's exit storyline.

"I think it was rushed. I would have liked a little bit of closure," the Chilean told the media outlet (via TVLine).

The 35-year-old however, remained grateful for the opportunity. She also emphasized the chance she got to play alongside the series mainstay, Michael Weatherly, who portrays Tony.

"Any time you put Michael and I together there's going to be a spark, and there's going to be real honesty, and for that I am forever grateful. Because in that sense there was a sense of conclusion as far as what [the characters] felt for each other," she went on to say.

Needless to say, the actress-singer was also overwhelmed with the "outpouring of love" from the followers of the show and more particularly on Ziva.

She told TVLine that it felt "really delicious to feel that kind of love" from the people. On this note, the media outlet went on to probe the possibility of her reprising the role.

De Pablo pointed out to TVLine the fact "that they never killed the character off is very telling."

"Under the right circumstances, I think it could definitely be explored," she teased.

The ALMA Award winner further gave hints that she would gladly take the invitation, if it ever came to fruition, as long as "it was the right story" to tell.

Cote de Pablo starred as Shirah in the two-part TV series from CBS titled "The Dovekeepers" which premiered on March.

"NCIS" Season 13, meanwhile, premieres on Tuesday, September 22. Stay tuned for more updates.
