Gemmill explains that their short term arrangement is sort of Callen getting himself in a be careful what you wish for situation when he got his father to live with him. Prior to the "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 episode, Callen has spent his whole life searching for a family and will now suddenly be thrusted into one.

But, he also is used to having the privacy of his own space that having a family member living with him will take some getting used to. Although the two have not really spent a lot of time together before the coming "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8 episode, their relationship will surely benefit from theirbonding experience.

Meanwhile, Nell takes over Kensi's spot in the team as they solve the featured cases of "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 8. Nell has proven to be a useful temporary replacement for Kensi who is still in the hospital's ICU recovering from her injuries.
