'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 2 Spoilers: Dwayne Joins Forces With Homeland Security

CBS' hit police procedural spinoff drama TV series "NCIS: New Orleans" will conclude its action-packed sophomore season this week and fans better brace themselves for explosive events as the team probes on a high-profile theft case.

According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the finale episode titled "Sleeping With The Enemy," NCIS Special Agent Dwayne Pride and the entire squad will work together with the Department of Homeland Security to hunt down those who stowed away 900 pounds of explosives, which are potent to blow the whole of New Orleans. The authorities have reasons to believe that the robbery is an inside job. Both agencies will race against the clock to secure the bombs before it could hurt anyone.

The promo video posted on Spoilers Guide teases some of the intense events that are about to take place in the season-ender. The clip reveals an encounter in the docks, where Coast Guard Investigative Service will come into play. CGIS' Agent Swanson will tie up with Pride and Homeland's John Russo to take down the thieves.

The partnership, however, won't be a smooth one for those involved. The TFC summary says that the NCIS will discover that there's a mole in their midst.

The teaser shows Swanson particularly suspicious with the Homeland officer. This is despite the fact that he saved her life in a confrontation with an armed person. Much to Swanson's surprise, Russo fired at her back to shoot the man.

"I'm on your side!" the DHS officer told Swanson who looks both terrified and furious. But is Russo really on the good side? In another scene, Russo is shown having a secret conversation with someone whose identity is yet to be revealed. Could he jeopardize the whole operation and put everyone's life in danger?

Find out when "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 2 airs this Tuesday, May 17, at 9 p.m. for its finale on CBS.
