'NCIS' Season 12 News: Episode 9 'Grounded' Recap, Episode 10 Plot Revealed

Last Tuesday's episode of "NCIS" sees DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), Bishop, and her husband Jake stuck at Dulles airport due to inclement weather while they work on a case which involves a a terrorist threat to Northeast airports during the Thanksgiving travel surge.

Bishop and her husband were at the airport and Tony just happened to be there at the same place. Jake finally gets to meet Tony, since he has met all of his wife's co-workers except for him. As Bishop makes the introductions, she runs into someone who looks familiar but she couldn't place the name with his face.

Tony gets a phone call from Gibbs, and Gibbs says that there is a possible terrorist attack at the airport. They're searching for someone who threatened to attack over the holiday. Tony then goes on alert, and sees the same man that Bishop saw earlier.

Bishop confronts the man, but he claims to be an Air Marshall. But Tony didn't believe him and called McGee to run the suspect's name. With some help from Abby, the NCIS team learns that the man is an imposter of Agent Beers, who is an actual Air Marshall.

They rush off to arrest the imposter. They find his dead body in the airport. McGee finds that the real Agent Beers has also been murdered at a nearby motel. They also find out that the imposter's name is Norman Dopps and that someone hired him to get a gun inside the secured airport.

The assassin is still inside the airport, so NCIS gets TSA to rescreen its passengers. Later, they find out that two Marshalls were escorting a known murderer with ties in a notorious Colombian drug cartel in one of the flights. Tony manages to find the assassin and shoot him before he could get to the target.

"NCIS" will be back on Dec. 16 with a brand new episode titled "House Rules" which has this premise:

"The NCIS team consult with three cyber-terrorists they imprisoned after a citywide Internet shutdown the week before Christmas. Meanwhile, McGee reflects on the case and Gibbs' infamous rules as he writes a heartfelt letter to his father," the synopsis reads.

"NCIS" airs Tuesday nights on CBS.
