'NCIS' Season 12 Renewal News, Episode Spoilers: Dorneget's Grieving Mother Joins the Hunt for Terrorist Group That Took His Life

Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the rest of the team is still reeling over from the shocking death of Agent Dornegat (Matt Jones) in the previous episode titled, "The Lost Boys." However, the Season 12 finale of "NCIS" will see Gibbs and Co. putting aside their grief to continue their hunt on the global terrorist group that is recruiting teenagers through the Internet and uses them to execute their deadly plans.

Casting news meanwhile points out actress Mimi Rogers appearing as Agent Dorneget's grieving mother. Her character, named Joanna Teague, happens to be a "tough as nails" CIA Officer. She steps up to offer her services to the team.

Michael Weatherly's DiNozzo and Emily Wickersham's Ellie Bishop are also seen back in Washington D.C. reviewing and trying to figure out the tragic event that claimed the life of their colleague.

Another photo showed Gibbs and Teague talking over what appears to be a plan to take down the terrorist group.

In related news, despite the decreasing ratings of Season 12, it appears that CBS isn't ready yet to put the hit crime-fighting TV drama series behind the shelf.

The report from TV Series Finale said that the network has given the show its needed renewal for Season 13. That means fans will see more of Gibbs and the rest of his special agents in a yet to be announced premiere date.

For the meantime, catch the season finale of "NCIS" Season 12 titled "Neverland" this Tuesday, May 12, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
