NCIS Season 12 Premiere Live Stream, Start Time, Spoilers: Newcomer Invited to Team by Gibbs?

While the "NCIS" is yet to air, spoilers are still hanging about on the Internet. One such detail that's expected for Season 12 of the show reveals that Leroy Jethro Gibbs is welcoming someone new, just as things appear to look more romantic between Anthony DiNozzo and Leia Pendergrast. It would seem that the newcomer is Ellie Bishop and was invited by Gibbs.

While it may not look like the right decision for the Gibbs, his gesture to invite Bishop over is a significant event since the two don't really see eye-to-eye on most things. This tension was exemplified while the NCIS team was on the hunt for the terrorist Benham Parsa.

Emily Wickerham, who plays as Bishop, has revealed that at some point in the season, the background of her character would have to be given away. Wickerham knows a little about the direction her character is headed but mostly, it's up to the writers to lead the way.

"You know, I know a little bit, there's a big collaboration over there and I'm excited to see where she goes, where they take her character," she said. "I hope she will meet her husband, know a little bit about her background."

As for DiNozzo and Pendergrast romantic thing, showrunner Gary Glasberg has already confirmed the possibility of the two sparking a romantic interest with each other.

"Yeah, she is one of several. So it's us having fun with the idea that we're going to see a little bit of the old Tony DiNozzo again and hopefully everybody will have a good time with that. I think they will, and we're having fun with it from a casting standpoint, and Michael is too," Glasberg said.
