'NCIS' Season 14 Spoilers, Release Date and Update: New Faces Bring in New Energy but Season Will Still Have the Same, Familiar Feel Post-DiNozzo

3 New agents will be brought into Gibbs' team now that DiNozzo is o longer around

Despite having three newcomers coming in to the cast and in its first official outing post Michael Weatherly, "NCIS" Season 14 will feel no different from the thirteen seasons before it. This is the assurance made by EP Gary Glasberg as he revealed his focus in proving to people that they will be watching the same show that they have always watched but with new faces.

Three new characters

Glasberg was talking about the three new characters that are set to be seen for the first time as the newest members of the team in "NCIS" Season 14. First among them is Special Agent Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito), whom Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will see as a potential replacement for Agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). But, seeing as she is even reluctant to join the team, it may take a lot of convincing on Gibbs' part for her to agree.

If she had a choice, Quinn would rather stick with her job in the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. But, reports say that since she will be the only one Gibbs will find worthy to be DiNozzo's replacement, she is more than likely to take a place in Gibbs' team as "NCIS" Season 14 moves along.

Undercover for a long time

Wilmer Valderrama portrays the second addition to the team, Agent Nick Torres. According to Glasberg, Torres will officially become a new member of the team by the end of the premiere episode of "NCIS" Season 14.

Torres will also be a part of an undercover mission that would result into being gone for a long period of time. He was believed to be dead by his teammates in the mission. As such, Torres is not exactly the same man before he left for the mission.

Gibbs might also have to work his away around having Torres in his team as well. Valderrama has previously said in interviews that his character and Gibbs will often clash in "NCIS" Season 14.

Post-traumatic stress

Since Torres has gotten used to working by himself for the past several years, he will have a very hard time working with a team. Despite this and him butting heads with Gibbs, the team leader will still see Torres' potential.

Valderrama added that his character suffers a bit from post-traumatic stress and is generally having a rough time but Gibbs' will see something unique in Torres and will think that he can be a real asset to his team.

The third newcomer is already a familiar face to viewers since he appeared in the "NCIS" Season 13 finale. MI6 officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) will make his first appearance as a series regular in episode 5 of the upcoming season.

"NCIS" Season 14 will premiere on September 20, Tuesday, on CBS.
