"Real Housewives of Atlanta" stars NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak buried the hatchet during Sunday's season five reunion show part two special, and the former best friends hugged it out after finally calling truce.
The pair was seated directly opposite one another when Bravo TV host Andy Cohen asked them whether they will ever be friends again. The veteran "Housewives" have been embroiled in an ongoing feud for years, and during the season four reunion show, they could barely stand to be in the same room.
"I would never say never but I just think that we're both in two different places in our lives," Leakes responded.
Zolciak, 33, agreed and continued by making a statement that sounded like a peace offering. The pair eventually hugged it out at the request of Cohen.
"I think that we've been through a lot, I've known you for a very long time ... it's been a great ride. I wouldn't have my husband, I wouldn't have my sons, I wouldn't have half the things and the excitement that I live today," Zolciak said about Leakes.
"I think she probably knows me better than anyone sitting here today and to start this together and kind of end it down this road ... at the back of my mind I kind of think if I saw her at a restaurant I'd you know probably sit down and have a glass of wine," she went on.
Leakes introduced Zolciak to her current husband, Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann, and the couple went on to have two children.
"I said to my husband driving here there's always this level of respect between NeNe and I no matter what's gone on," she continued, adding "I think on the flip side if anyone is really genuinely happy for me it would be NeNe."
Shortly after the reunion show taping Zolciak and Leakes, 45, contacted one another and were left in tears after formally reconciling. Leakes appeared to be moved by a gesture made by Zolciak's daughter, Brielle.
"Just had the best chat wit @Kimzolciak! Now I see @BrielleZolciak is following me! I just pulled off the road 2 cry. This is 2 much," Leakes tweeted March 27.
Zolciak, who made minimal appearances on the "Real Housewives" during season five, shared the same sentiments.
"My heart is at such peace @neneleakes best chat ever! See u soon! #onwardandupward," Zolciak tweeted.
"I must say I am very happy too that @neneleakes and I had a heart to heart! We made a pact!" another tweet read.
