Nene Leakes Leaving 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta?'

Is Nene Leakes leaving "The Real Housewives of Atlanta"?

Rumors that the reality star may be leaving the hit Bravo franchise sparked after Nene's recent appearance on "The Meredith Viera Show." At the interview, Nene talked about how reality shows have taken on a harsher tone over the past years.

"Reality TV has become very nasty," says Nene. "Our show, in the beginning, if you will, was more about reading and being shady and no physical fighting. I think, as of late, it has become very nasty, because the networks have to compete with one another. There are some shows that are physically fighting, drinking — and I think that they have to do that."

Though the ladies of RHOA have refrained from hitting each other this season, another Bravo show, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has shocked viewers during its recent run where the women are seen attacking each other physically. One episode has Brandi Glanville slapping Eileen Davidson, and another has Glanville and Kyle Richards get into a shoving match.

While Nene claims that she has never felt pressure from Bravo to participate in brawls, she admits that there's an expectation that she and her cast mates will fight in a way they wouldn't if the cameras aren't rolling.

"I'm not encouraged to fight or to drink, but I do feel the pressure of turning it up," Nene admittted.

This is not the first time that Nene has admitted that she was not happy about the course that reality shows are taking. In a recent interview with In Touch, Nene said, "All those women arguing is draining. I'd love a spin-off or talk show."

Moreover, in a new set of tweets, the RHOA star says that she believes that the other ladies on the show are jealous of her success. Nene has just ended her run on Broadway's Cinderella, and she's currently busy with her HSN clothing line, The Nene Leakes Collection.

"Let me go sign another contract so they have 1 more thing to be mad about! Nite nite," Nene tweeted.
