NeNe Leakes News: Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Reveals How Marriage Changed After Gregg Leakes Divorce

NeNe Leakes, the 46-year-old star of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," who remarried her ex-husband Gregg Leakes last year, is revealing how her marriage is different the second time around.

NeNe revealed that it took a divorce for her husband to realize that he needed to work on his communication.

"The first time we were married Gregg was not the best communicator and a lot of men aren't. And I really like to communicate. I talk a lot and I can bring up issues anywhere," Leakes told blogger Necole Kane recently.

"We can be driving in the car [and] he acts like it's driving him insane. We had counseling going in the second time around. I think it helped Gregg to now be able to communicate more."

Leakes previously revealed that she did test the waters and date after splitting from Gregg in 2011.

"When we were apart, I dated and I was just like, 'Uh uh this is not going to work,'" Leakes previously told "Access Hollywood Live." "We're a great balance for each other, he challenges me and we're great for each other."

Still she insisted that the pair do not have a perfect marriage.

"I think everything is resolved but we're just like any other married couple, we still have our own little personal issues," NeNe told "Access Hollywood." "There's things that I love about Gregg and he loves about me, there's also things I don't like about him that he probably doesn't like about me!"

The Leakes' nuptials took place in Atlanta, Ga at the InterContinental Hotel in a $1.8 million event last summer. Leakes previously said her ceremony was much better than the first time she married Gregg.

"Both of us want this, so it will definitely work this time. I know exactly what I'm getting myself into," Leakes told Life & Style magazine. "It was more romantic this time than the first, Gregg and I are real adults, so it was better."
