Leakes' message comes after Star magazine reported about her past which includes being charged with three felony and one misdemeanor count after "theft of services" from a phone company. She was arrested for the alleged theft in 1992, which could be the behavior she was explaining in her recent tweet.

NeNe reportedly pleaded guilty to all four counts brought against her and eventually settled for teking a plea deal. She was given two years probation and forced to pay the phone company $2,650. However, that was not the end of Leakes' legal troubles.

The reality television star who was born Linnethia Johnson violated her probation terns which resulted in three additional arrests.

The "Dancing With The Stars" contestant previously spoke with E! host Giuliana Rancic about her tough past before her popular reality television show and even opened up about the decision to leave a previous domestic violence situation.

"He'd been calling and calling," Leakes recalled in the interview titled E! Entertainment Special: NeNe Leakes. "I would never answer the call, so he knocked on our door and came -- just bust right on in."

The mother of two may be used to opening up about her life on her Bravo TV reality television show, but she also admitted that fame comes with a price.

"The hardest part about me doing this show and having my life put out there is my child," Leakes previously admitted to Rancic. "My oldest son was going into 12th grade and he could no longer be like the typical teenager."
