NeNe Leakes is responding to rumors that she would quit "Real Housewives of Atlanta" because the Bravo TV network attempted to give her a pay cut.
While the 46-year-old actress and Bravo TV star has been fueling rumors that she will not return to the popular series, she took to Twitter recently to respond to the latest.
"I'am NOT comin back 2 RHOA because I was fired, NO I quit, NO I wanted more money, NO they cut my salary & yes all this is (EXPLETIVE)," Leakes tweeted.
For good measure, Leakes re-tweeted messages from fans who interpreted her message.
"How do ppl not understand this tweet," the fan's message posted on Leaks' Twitter reads. "Lmao it means 2 shut the hell up & that we don't know anything that's actually going on."
The actress and reality television star re-tweeted another fan's message.
"U ALL R SOO DUMB! SHE IS SAYING ALL THE RUMORS ARE LIES," the person tweeted.
Leakes' initial message comes weeks after RumorFix reported about the TV star quitting her popular show.
"NeNe balked at the idea of going part-time and said she would quit first," a source said, according to RumorFix. "If she wants the same pay, Bravo will require that she shoot more with the other ladies."
Leakes reportedly makes upwards of $1 million per season, according to Radar Online, and the latest reports claim that her part time appearance would only guarantee her $500,000. However, RumorFix reached out to Leakes' representatives, claiming that the reports are false.
Leakes will return to the popular Bravo TV show in the same capacity that she has for six seasons. Last May, Leakes revealed who would be invited back to the series.
"Everybody has been invited back, but I don't know exactly what I'm doing," Leakes told Life & Style magazine. "This past season was very dark and toxic; there was a lot of negativity. I just don't want to work with so much negativity."
