Netflix and Marvel's 'Daredevil' Season 2 Touted as 'Daredevil vs. Punisher'

Two opposing forces are about to collide when Netflix's hit superhero drama series "Daredevil" returns to its web streaming list.

When casting news broke out that "The Walking Dead" star Jon Bernthal will be joining "Daredevil" Season 2 as The Punisher, it didn't take long for fans of the series to drop their theories indicating that the new character will certainly clash with the titular hero (played by Charlie Cox).

Just like DC Comics' superhero Batman, it is Matt Murdock's vow to never kill a person even though his mission to cleanse New York City's Hell's Kitchen would involve beating his opponents to a pulp.

Frank Castle's anti-hero, on the other hand, is infamous for delivering his fatal sense of justice which would mostly end up with dead bodies. That being said, the two will most likely to come in a philosophical disagreement when it comes to serving justice.

In fact, a report from Nerdist.com cited new co-executive producer Marco Ramirez referring to the upcoming chapter as "Daredevil vs. the Punisher."

The publication went on to state that aside from mere disagreements, it would seem like "the Punisher could be the big bad for the entire second season." This would further explain the bullet homes in the show's new promotional logo.

Needless to say, fans of the comic books weren't surprise at all by this development since the two characters were seen going up against each other.

Adding to Daredevil's baggage in the Netflix show is the reported inclusion of Bullseye. Unlike The Punisher, Bullseye is an outright murder-for-hire character and would kill anyone, including innocents, if offered with the right price.

"Daredevil" Season 2 will start streaming on Netflix sometime in 2016.
