Despite "The Bachelor" star Sean Lowe having passed Hartsock by during season 17, the 26-year-old bridal stylist from Colorado will have another chance to find love this year.

As for Lowe, who chose finalist Catherine as the winner of "The Bachelor," Hartsock had only the best wishes for the couple.

"I'm so happy for them," said the new bachelorette, according to People.com. "I could only hope to have the love that they've found and I am very hopeful in all of this. And I do hope to meet the man of my dreams."

Hartsock is the latest "Bachelorette" among past stars that have included Trista Sutter, Emily Maynard, and Ashley Herbert, among many others.

Season nine of "The Bachelorette" has already began filming, according to E! News. The bachelorette was spotted filming on the Santa Monica Pier holding cotton candy.

"Des was smiling and was happy," an eyewitness told the website of Hartsock on the series. "She definitely seemed like she was enjoying herself."

Meanwhile, Hartsock is a frequent Twitter user and hinted at her faith by posting a Biblical excerpt on Sunday.

"Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding.. #GodisGood #PureWisdom #Amen," wrote the bachelorette.

"The Bachelorette" season nine will begin airing on ABC on Monday, May 20 at 9 p.m. EST.
