New England Patriots NFL Trade Rumors 2017: Jimmy Garappolo Admits That Trade Rumors Make His Head Spin

Since the beginning of 2017, New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garappolo has been the subject of National Football League (NFL) trade rumors. There are speculations that this offseason, the Patriots may or may not trade the 25-year-old player with rumored trade partners 49ers and Bears and Browns.

Right now, Garappolo is close to his fourth NFL season and is entering the final year of his contract as a rookie.

Recently, he spoke with ESPN's Adam Schefter on his "Know Them from Adam," where the trade rumors were brought up. Asked about the trade rumors, the player admitted that it has not affected his everyday life. "For the most part I'm just trying to stay level-headed, try not to overthink it too much. Because at the end of the day I'm still under contract. It's not my decision if I get traded or if I don't. So you try to take it all in stride," he said.

Garappolo said he has been trying to ignore the rumors as much as he could because if he starts to think about it, his head will start spinning. However, he admitted that his parents, especially his mother, are among the reasons he cannot seem to completely ignore the speculations. According to him, his mother has been all over the trading news since she and his father are too thrilled about his NFL standing.

The player went on to admit that he would not know how to feel in case Chicago, the state where he grew up in and went to college, becomes his trade destination. "It's hard to say. I really don't know how it'd feel," he said.

The Patriots have yet to confirm the trade rumors. As of now, Garappolo is still on contract and is backing up the ageless Tom Brady. If the trade rumors are true, the top potential suitors for the player include Cleveland, San Francisco and Chicago.
