The Patriots travel to the TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota today trying to recover from their opening game loss in Week 1.

The Patriots are generally one of the most confident teams in the league, but they were humbled in a big way last week, being demolished by the Miami Dolphins in the second half in Week 1. That result revealed numerous issues for the Patriots to fix up urgently if they are to push on this season.

Prior to last week's opening games many will have penciled in the Patriots as dead certs for today's game against the Vikings. However, seeing the Vikings dominate last week, and the Patriots suffer such a bad loss, today's game is very much more in the balance.

Of course there is no reason to panic yet for the Patriots, but another loss today would be a big step in that direction.

The Patriots will definitely be trying to erase the memories of last week, when they were smashed 0-23 over the final 30 minutes.

The Vikings will have seen that game and will be trying to exploit the same weaknesses that the Dolphins revealed. How successful they will be in doing so though remains to be seen.
