New England Patriots vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers takes place on Sunday in week 3 of the NFL 2013 regular season as the Patriots look to claim a third consecutive win and maintain their perfect start to the new season. The game will start at 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).
The Patriots have not exploded into their top form by any means so far this season, and to be honest much of what they've done on the field has been quite mediocre. But that said, they have still come out of their opening two games with two wins, and that is the mark of a potentially Super Bowl winning team – winning even when they're not playing that well.
In week 1 the Patriots got the job done, defeating a tough Buffalo Bills team 23-21 on the road. In week 2 they struggled again to place much daylight between themselves and the opposition, only managing to take down the New York Jets 13-10.
The 36 points they've managed to score over the first two games will not strike great fear into the other NFL teams, and the lack of penetration from the New England offense may have some worried. Patriots' fans will want to see their team letting loose a bit more today and pile on some points against a much weaker Tampa Bay team.
Tom Brady has completed 49 from 91 attempted throws so far this season, going for 473 yards and three touchdowns. His top hitman has been Julian Edelman who has received 20 throws for 157 yards and two touchdowns.
The Buccaneers meanwhile have not been appalling by any means, and they have only lost their two games by a combined total of three points! In week 1 they fell the wrong side of a 17-18 result against the New York Jets. Then in week 2 they lost by double that margin in a 14-16 loss to New Orleans.
