New Far Cry 4 DLC Release Date in 2015: Content News, Details Revealed a 'Permadeath'

Ubisoft's new "Far Cry 4" DLC will bid its players to take on a new challenge – to race against time with only one life, zero weapons, a handful of side-quests, and a primary mission to get out of prison in one piece.

Titled "Escape from Durgesh Prison," the new downloadable content for the role playing game is promised to "intensify" the gaming experience "tenfold."

In a report from the official Ubisoft Live Blog, "Far Cry 4 players will have to complete a series of challenges while racing against the clock to earn themselves a spot on the leaderboards – but if you go down, you won't be getting back up."

As stated, the new DLC will introduce "permadeath" into the title where players need to be "extra careful" when they plan and execute their exit strategy.

A description posted on the Ubisoft blog further reads:

"After Ajay and Hurk wake up in Yuma's prison, stripped of all their weapons, they will need to complete challenges to find new weapons and unlock skills. Take your time to plan and be careful, but not too much time because the clock is still ticking and you need to reach the extraction point."

"Should you die, you will have to start the mission over again, but this time you'll have all the knowledge and skills you gained in your previous attempts," the site went on to say.

The "Escape from Durgesh Prison" DLC is set to roll out across all platforms this coming January 13. They also said that the expansion can be played in both single-player and co-op mode.

PC Gamers meanwhile wrote that for those with Far Cry 4 Season Pass, the "Escape from Durgesh Prison" DLC will arrive to them for free. Otherwise, the content will be up for solo purchase for $ 9.99.
