New Orleans Saints vs Philadelphia Eagles Live Stream Free: Watch NFL Playoffs 2014 NFC Wild Card Football Online (NBC TV Schedule)

The New Orleans Saints and the Philadelphia Eagles face off on Saturday in the second of two big NFL 2014 Wild Card Playoffs games taking place today. This one is an extremely tough one to call with both teams having very distinct and contrasting strengths and weaknesses, meaning whoever pulls off their game plan the better is likely to win this one.

The game will start at 8.10 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC network, or online through free live stream (details below).

The Saints must stop turnovers and penalties today if they are to win this road game and progress in the postseason. Their on the road problems this season have been largely due to frailties in those departments and they must make sure they don't give the ball away cheaply today, and must play clean.

Over the regular season they averaged two turnovers and seven penalties per game over their five road losses. They must do better today, and a repeat of those issues could see them go crashing out at the hands of the Eagles.

Philadelphia will be looking to utilize LeSean McCoy, who led the NFL in rush yards with 1,607 yards over the regular season. He in many ways holds the key to the Eagles gaining victory today, and the Saints must find away to keep him quiet if they are to stop Philly from controlling the ball and the pace of the game.

New Orleans must box McCoy in and close out his running lanes, and if they can do that sufficiently they will probably be half way to victory, such is McCoy's importance to the Eagles' offense.

Meanwhile, the Eagles must protect Nick Foles. He has been nothing short of sensational this season, going 203 of 317 – an impressive 64 percent completion rate. He threw for 2,891 yards and 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He led the NFL in quarterback rating with a surprisingly good 119.2 that no one would have predicted at the start of the season.

However, the inexperienced quarterback will be taking part in his first Playoffs game today, and no matter what pressures there were in the regular season, nothing can wholly prepare a player for postseason football. The Saints will certainly be targeting Foles and trying to pressure him to rattle his game. If they can sufficiently put him off his game today then it would go a long way in blunting this Eagles offense.

Eagles fans are likely to be unfazed; they have grown accustomed to Foles performing well beyond his years, and he has already surprised everyone with his maturity and calm under pressure. Foles led Philadelphia to seven wins over their last eight games, and he will no doubt be loving his first experience of Playoffs football in the NFL.
