New Spider-Man Reboot Cast News: 'The Walking Dead' Actor Interested in Playing Miles Morales the Web-Slinger
Playing the character named Noah in the currently-in-hiatus hit post-apocalyptic TV drama series from AMC, "The Walking Dead," actor Tyler James Williams admitted in a recent interview that he is interested in playing the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man.
Williams recently spoke with the people from Flicks and the City telling them that he is a big fan of Miles Morales and that he appreciates the idea that a lot of fans were vying for him to play the character on the upcoming Marvel Cinematics Universe film.
"I'm open to the idea, I am. I'm not like starting campaigns for it because I trust Marvel. I've read for them before. So I trust what their decisions will be. But yeah, I'd love to do it. I would absolutely love to do it. I think there are a few names in the hat that absolutely do make sense. Kind of who is the best for it. I'd be stoked to do it," the 22-year-old actor said.
Unfortunately for Miles fans, Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada confirmed in March that the forthcoming revival of the Friendly Neighborhood will feature a Peter Parker alter ego.
The studio's chief executive went on to establish the fact that a high-schooler "15-16" year-old Parker will first be joining MCU's next big screen offering "Captain America: Civil War" with Robert Downey Jr. as Iron-Man/Tony Stark and Chris Evans as Captain America/Steve Rogers this May 6, 2016.
After which, Parker will get his own standalone movie in a yet to be confirmed Spider-Man title on July 28, 2017.
