Over a million people will gather New Year's Eve in New York City's Times Square to watch the ball drop live and ring in the new year of 2013. Over a million more will watch the countdown of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" over live stream which begins at 6 p.m.

At 6 p.m. Monday, the crystal ball will make its way to the top of One Times Square, in preparation for the 2013 ball drop. The wife of Dick Clark helped put on some of the 2,688 Waterford crystal triangles that cover the New Year's Eve ball, which will be lit up by 32,000 colored LEDs.

The Dec. 31 night will begin with "New Year's Rockin' Eve Celebrates Dick Clark," a two-hour ABC special dedicated to the late Clark who was an iconic American figure that helped ring in the New Year for most of the nation. Ryan Seacrest is now the host of the show. Fergie and Jenny McCarthy will be introducing clips of performers of past new year's eve celebrations with Clark as they remember the longtime host.

"New Year's Rockin' Eve" will mainly feature the festivities from New York's Times Square where Seacrest will be joined by performers Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, Neon Trees and PSY, who will perform his hit "Gangnam Style."

Fergie will host the New Year's Eve celebrations on the West Coast. Performers there will include Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Jason Aldean, Karmin and OneRepublic.

Reports from around the globe will also be featured during the program, which will continue to be live streamed.

The final countdown to the ball drop at 11:59 p.m. will be led by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and all 36 Radio City Rockettes.
