The Giants travel to Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday with a 2-1 record following their confidence-building 36-7 win against the Carolina Panthers in week 3. However, the Panthers' defense only ranks 24th in the NFL and has allowed 383 yards per game, and the Giants can expect a much stiffer test against the Eagles tonight.

Eli Manning will once again be looked to by New York to drive the team forward, and he has been a stable figure through the opening three games of the regular season.

Meanwhile the Eagles, although holding a 2-1 record as well, have looked much more at sorts than their Sunday Night Football counterparts. Michael Vick has not looked his usual reliable self, and Philadelphia have not been able to get the best out of influential running back LeSean McCoy so far. The Eagles are coming off a 27-6 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in which quarterback Michael Vick didn't throw an interception, but was sacked five times.

A storm of dissatisfaction has been building around the Eagles leading up to this game, but if they can put out a good performance and claim the win today, things will certainly be looking more optimistic. On the other hand a loss will only go to fuel the issues that have been emerging through the first three weeks of the season, and could bring back memories of last season's debacle.

The Giants' running game looked better in week 3 than the previous two matches, and they will hope to continue that improvement in tonight's game. At the moment the Giants are ranked just 16th in the league for rushing, with just 100.3 yards per game.

Meanwhile Philadelphia's offense has not been able to convert its good yardage into points. The Eagles have only scored 15.7 points per game, which is low considering its offense lies 5th in the NFL with an impressive 416.3 yards per game.
