Many pundits are predicting that these two sides could be battling it out for the top spot in the AFC East come later in the season. If that turns out to be the case then this game becomes a vital one as the two teams face off at the Sun Life Stadium on Sunday.

In week 2 the Dolphins showed some impressive form, showing little mercy in destroying the Oakland Raiders. The New York Jets meanwhile were a major disappointment, losing to Pittsburgh and leaving some to question just how far this side can go this season.

Reggie Bush could be a pivotal player for the Dolphins. Following a few seasons of injuries many have forgotten just how impressive this running back can be. If the Dolphins can create space for their feature back then he could do what C.J. Spiller did against the Jets in week 1.

The Dolphins boast a strong defense and have shown their ability to stop the run over the first two weeks. They were able to hold Arian Foster and Darren McFadden to a combined 101 yards on 41 carries for an average of just 2.46 yards per attempt.

Arguably the Jets do not have anyone near those two backs, and that could mean serious issues for the Jets in trying to break down this solid Dolphins' run defense.

However, the Jets will know that the Dolphins secondary is weak and they will be looking to exploit that area and allow Sanchez to get in his stride early on.
