Knicks vs Lakers Live Stream: Watch NBA Basketball Online

The Los Angeles Lakers will host the New York Knicks at Staples Center in the NBA Thursday, March 12, 2015. Tip-off is at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Two of the biggest and historic teams are clearly struggling this season, with the Lakers at 17-46, while the Knicks hold an NBA worst record of 12-51.

Both teams are playing without their biggest superstars. Los Angeles stalwart Kobe Bryant suffered a torn rotator cuff that had him sidelined for the rest of the season, while New York star Carmelo Anthony underwent knee surgery that saw a premature end to this year's run.

The Lakers recently broke their five game losing streak with a 93-85 victory over the Detroit Pistons. Jordan Hill led the team in points with 16 while shooting 47 percent from the field. Carlos Boozer had 10 rebounds and was active on the defensive end despite clearly struggling to find his shot. Budding prospect Jordan Clarkson has been causing a buzz lately, but he only managed four points and four rebounds after going 4-of-12 from the field.

As for the Knicks, they have lost five straight games, with their most recent a 87-82 loss to the Utah Jazz. The match was competitive throughout, with the Jazz missing their best player with Gordon Hayward sidelined with a back injury. Unfortunately, the Knicks ran out of gas in the fourth quarter and were outscored 22-17 in the final frame to eventually lose.

Alexey Shved led the team in scoring with 21 points while shooting 50 percent from the field, while Andrea Bargnani dropped 20 of his own but failed to convert from beyond the arc.

As they prepare for their final meeting of the season, the Knicks hold a slight advantage after already beating the Lakers earlier this year.

In a 92-80 victory, Anthony carried the team with 31 points, while rookie Langston Galloway added 13 for the night. Boozer and Clarkson had 19 points each in the losing effort, but the Lakers only shot 36 percent from the field as a team.
