New York Mets vs Los Angeles Dodgers - Game Preview for May 12, 2016: Dodger Stadium Hosts Mini-Series Tonight, Prediction

The Mets lead the series 2-1.

Playing in their final matchup for the current series, the Los Angeles Dodgers play the New York Mets at the Dodger Stadium in Major League Baseball. The matchup is on May 12, 2016 at 10:10 p.m. ET, Yahoo reports.

This is the fourth battle in their miniseries and at the moment, the Mets are in control 2-1. Despite playing away from home, the Mets have proved to be a little bit better than their Los Angeles counterpart and are seemingly ready to continue their rise in the league.

As for the Dodgers, they are going through a phase of just being at par this season and they will surely want to turn things around by getting a big win over a strong Mets squad.

In the first game, it was Curtis Granderson who opened things up for the Mets as he hit a 399-foot home run to deep right center to give the Mets the 1-0 lead.

After stopping the Dodgers from scoring, the Mets got another home run thanks to Kevin Plawecki as the Mets took control of the game. Next inning, it would be 3-0 after Yoenis Cespedes' single helped Asdrubal Cabrera score.

For the Dodgers, they were able to cut the deficit after a home run by Trayce Thompson in the fourth inning allowed Justin Turner to score as the game was 3-2.

However, the Mets finished the game off in the sixth with Wilmer Flores scoring after a Steven Matz double.

The Dodgers got their revenge in the second game by starting off well as well, scoring twice thanks to Chase Utley and Corey Seager, per Scoresway.

New York bounced back in the second inning, but it was Thompson's 410-foot home run at the bottom of the ninth that gave the Dodgers the big win.

It would be another close battle in the third game as both teams scored in the third inning to make it 1-1.

Yasmani Grandal hit a home run in the fourth inning to give the lead to the Dodgers, but at the top of the fifth New York got their groove.

Noah Syndergaard hit a home run that allowed Eric Campbell and Rene Rivera the run as the Mets took a 4-2 lead.

The Dodgers would score at the ninth inning but it wasn't enough as they are now hoping to get a win to tie the series.

Facing a tough team at home, look for Los Angeles to get a big win – albeit it being close throughout the game.
