The Nexus 10 32GB model is now available for just $449.

eBay is running a special through its Weekly Deals section that slashes the price of the Nexus 10 by $50. This is a great deal for those looking to purchase a high-end tablet with a lot of internal memory.

The Nexus 10 launched in Nov. 2012 and features a display with a greater resolution than the retina full-sized iPad. The tablet was made by Samsung and a newer version is expected to launch sometime this fall.

Recent rumors have pointed to Asus producing the successor to the Nexus 10 instead of Samsung.

The maker of the original will not produce the new model, according to a report from Russell Holly of Geek.com. He claims that multiple sources have confirmed to him that Asus will be the maker of the new Nexus 10. It will also bear the same name as the original.

The release date for the tablet is expected to be sometime in Nov. as it is expected to launch around the same time as the original did in 2012. It will be available in the Google Play store and Best Buy just in time for the holidays.

He did not reveal any information on specifications, however, the new Nexus 10 is expected to feature a hi-res display with 2560x1600 resolution, a Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM.

A Wall Street Journal report from July by Amir Efrati, a reliable tech source stated that the device would be produced by Samsung and that it would launch in the near future. He also cited Android and Chrome boss Sundar Pichai as the source for this information.

It's possible that Pichai could have told him that the Nexus 10 was coming soon and Efrati assumed it was being made by Samsung since that is who created the original version. Asus makes the wildly popular Nexus 7 tablet.
