Nexus 5 news: What to expect?

LG has some serious competition out in the market right now. Many are depending on the new 5.2" Nexus as expectations are quite high for the new model. Android Police recently released a report about the rumored specs of the Nexus 5, and many are wondering if they meet the standards that can gain a solid following.

One of the major specifications reported is that it will be powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808. The 808, paired with 3 GB RAM for the Nexus 5, has only two high-powered A57 processing cores, along with four low A53 cores. It will also have an Adreno 418 GPU in its chip, which is similar to Adreno 420 in Snapgdragon 805 devices.

It is also said that the Nexus 5 will have a 5.2" full-HD (1080) panel display. LCD screens can make quite a difference for not-so-technical users, and so it can be assumed that LG may be thinking of adding more to its unit to make it stand out. The decision to lower the display resolution is apparently to solve the problem with quick power consumption. This would also mean faster and smoother system applications while maximizing battery life.

Speaking of battery, the new Nexus 5 will have a battery of only 2,700 mAh package, which is quite small compared to other phones; however, it is still comparatively bigger and an improvement compared to the 5" Nexus 5 with only 2,300 mAh. It is also better than Galaxy S6 that carries a 2,550 mAh battery.

For other specifications, it's also said to have a 12.3-megapixel sensor rear camera and a 5-megapixel sensor camera. Customers will also have two options for the storage: 16 GB and 32 GB models. Available colors will be black, white, and blue.

There isn't any news yet on the price of the 5.2" Nexus 5; however, awaiting fans will probably find out as its release is expected by the end of September.
