Nexus 7 2013 Price Slashed Down by $60 and $40 for Cyber Monday

The 16GB and 32GB versions are selling for $40 and $60 less than their normal sticker on eBay which makes them $169 and $229.  The only catch is that the 16GB model is a factory refurb. However, this is still a great price for one of the finest Android devices in the market.

Refurbished models work pretty well as most of the problems the device had at launch were probably dealt with ensuring optimum performance.

Google started offering the Nexus 7 2013 model with a free $25 gift card for Google Play last week.

The company will run this new promotion "for a limited period" that will also give buyers of the device free shipping for any version of the popular tablet including Wi-Fi and cellular models. This promo is called the "holiday special" so it could end up continuing to the end of the year.

Once the Nexus 7 ships, buyers will receive an email with a code that can be redeemed in the Play Store for credit. The $25 can be used for various media including apps, movies, TV shows, music, books, or magazines. However, it cannot be used for hardware.

The Nexus 7 (2013) was released shortly before the summer of this year and introduced Android 4.3 JellyBean to the market. It features impressive specs including a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 HD display, 2GB RAM, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 16/32GB of internal storage, built-in wireless charging, and a 5-megapixel rear camera.

The original Nexus 7 launched in 2012 and was one of the first 7-inch tablets to feature and HD display.
