Nexus 9 Rumors: New Twitter Leaks Suggest Upcoming Device Will Be Sold on Amazon US

Known by many names as HTC T1, HTC Volantis, HTC Flounder and Nexus 8H, just to name a few, the purported device from Google has long been making rounds in the tech news world. Even as today, there's still haven't any official information given out by the California-based company.

However, there are people who claimed to be on the know saying that the upcoming tablet will soon be hitting the US and Japan retail shelves. Among the most recognized is tech Twitter leaker @upleaks who recently took to his/her social media to announce that the "HTC T1#WL(CDMA/LTE model) [will be] coming to US and Japan," and will be sold on Amazon U.S.

As previously rumored, the Nexus 9 was suggested to likely come from the manufacturing lines of ASUS and Samsung but strong speculations pointed out to HTC.

The Wall Street Journal, in their Sept. 22 news publication, stated that indeed, the HTC will be the new maker for the upcoming tablet device.

"Google selected HTC over more experienced tablet makers like Samsung to make its upcoming 9-inch Nexus tablet, people familiar with the matter said. HTC engineers have been flying to the Googleplex in Mountain View in recent months to work on the project, they said," according to the WSJ report.

Subsequent reports also indicated a series of NVIDIA court documents with regards to the recent legal dispute against Qualcomm over GPU tech further revealed that NVIDIA will be supplying HTC with their Tegra K1 Denver 64-bit processors.

It is said that Nexus 9 will have an 8.9-inch display at 2560 x 1440 or 2048 x 1440. It will also have a 4GB RAM and a 16 or 32GB of internal storage. Speculations also suggest that it will run with Android 4.4.4 KitKat or Android 5.0 OS.

As for the launching date, it is rumored that it will likely to take place on Oct. 16 in the United States and Oct. 24 in the U.K.
