NFL Hopeful Missing After 'Following God,' Leaving Scouting Practice
Adam Muema, a former running back for San Diego State University and NFL hopeful, has reportedly not been heard from by several members of his inner circle after opting out of an NFL scouting opportunity on Sunday, when he said he was "following God."
Those in the athlete's inner circle, including a close friend and his former high school football coach, told a local San Diego newspaper that they have not heard from the athlete since his mysterious and unexpected departure from the NFL combine practice in Indianapolis this past Sunday.
"I have no idea where he is," a person close to Muema told U-T San Diego. "[San Diego State coaches] have been trying to track him down, too. Every time they do, his phone is off. … It's a frustrating deal."

As media outlets point out, it is too soon to panic over Muema's mysterious departure from the public eye, and no missing persons reports have been filed for the young former Aztecs player. U-T San Diego reports that Muema's closest family relative declined to comment on the athlete's whereabouts.
Muema prematurely left his combine practice on Sunday, telling the U-T San Diego via telephone from the Indianapolis airport that God had told him to skip the practice, where NFL hopefuls participate in a series of drills for scouts ahead of the 2014 draft. Muema added that if he followed God's advice, he would be granted a spot on his dream NFL team, the Seattle Seahawks.
"Can't go wrong with God," Muema told the local paper. "He told me to sit down, be quiet and enjoy the peace."
Muema is open about his Christian faith on social media networks. On his Twitter page, his description reads "God F1rst, Seahawks # 8." Shortly after the athlete missed his combine practice, he tweeted: "Yes, you guys are right I am crazy. Crazy in love with Jesus it is the sweetest name I know."
The former Aztec had a successful football career at his alma mater, becoming the fourth player in the school's history to have multiple 1,000 yard seasons. He was predicted to be a mid-to-late round pick during the upcoming NFL Draft, and was NFLDraftScout.com's 30th rated running back for 2014.
Sports analysts suggest that Muema's hopes for joining the Seattle Seahawks may be far-fetched, as the reigning Super Bowl champions already have a stellar running back roster than includes Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin and Christine Michael.
