NFL Thanksgiving 2015 TV Schedule, Preview, Start Times

It's always an interesting day in sports during Thanksgiving, with this year's lineup of events highlighted by some great matchups in different leagues, including the NFL. While the NBA and NHL are looking to add some spice a day after, Thursday is quite busy with college football, basketball, and of course, the National Football League.

Well, that's always been the case on Thanksgiving — NFL football is the forefront of entertainment. This time, there are three games in the schedule with all of them being crucial ones in terms of the hunt for a playoff spot.

The Eagles are currently 4-6 and lost their last two games, though they still are very much alive in the fight for the last playoff spot. The Lions, on the other hand, are 2-7 but are quite interestingly in a two-game winning streak after dropping their first seven. Also worthy of mention is that the Lions love to play on Thanksgiving Day, having won more than any other team in the league.

Dallas Cowboys versus Carolina Panthers

Time: 1:30 p.m. PT/4:30 p.m. ET
Coverage: CBS/KOIN-6

The Cowboys are somehow re-energized with the return of star quarterback Tony Romo, although they are still in a huge hole. They defeated the Dolphins to stop the losing streak at seven games, also giving them some room to catch up in the playoff race. However, they will be facing the undefeated Panthers on Thanksgiving; a team boasting one of the best defenses in the league.

Green Bay Packers versus Chicago Bears

Time: 5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET
Coverage: NBC/KGW-8

The Green Bay Packers are also in high spirits after snapping a three-game losing skid against the Vikings last weekend, while the Bears are coming off a loss against the Broncos. At 7-3, the Packers are in a safe position right now but the Bears are hanging by a thread.
