Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell faking their relationship?

While Nina Dobrev seems to have moved on from her relationship with Ian Somerhalder and the latter is also happily married to Nikki Reed, some rumors continue to haunt the "Vampire Diaries" star.

A new issue has surfaced recently regarding Dobrev's relationship with boyfriend Austin Stowell. Rumor has it that the two are probably faking whatever they have, despite the flashes of PDA the couple are spotted in.

Recently, the two became the center of attention in Eli Mizrahi's dinner party at the SKY Vault Penthouse. According to E! Online, the two were "acting really cute." A source also said, "You can tell how much they love each other" because of the way the two reportedly spoke to each other and their mannerisms. The source didn't fail to mention that Austin "treats Nina with such respect."

Due to the couple's continuous display of affection in public, some have speculated that the two might get engaged some time soon. However, a report by Celeb Dirty Laundry suggests that the PDA may be nothing more than a "show" to end Dobrev's association with her hunky ex and his wife.

The outlet notes that Dobrev seems to be struggling not only with her career but with her past as fans and some critics continue to link her to Somerhalder, some even going as far as making her look like a thorn in between her ex beau and Reed.

Other rumors claim that Dobrev is now looking toward a new future and is "desperate for a big show." The outlet then goes on to explain that the PDA show between Dobrev and Stowell may be just in time for the former "TVD" star's push for another shot at her career.

If the rumor is true, Stowell's fans may surely be in a ruckus, questioning why Dobrev would have to use their hunk idol for her selfish desires. Dobrev has not commented on the recent issue.
