Nintendo Mini NES Console Will be Standalone
The mini NES console will go back to its classic roots. Gamers of today will have a chance to experience early gaming by letting the device go standalone and without any kind of connection for the internet. To operate the device, it should be connected to a TV using an HDMI, The Verge reported.

Nintendo Mini NES Console with Pre-Loaded Classic Games
The mini-NES classic will already have 30 games preloaded. What's different about the original console is that it uses cartridges to play a game. The chamber lid will apparently not be able to physically open, Kotaku reported.Additionally, this means that old and original cartridges won't be usable for the mini-NES.

Apart from the HDMI, the mini NES console will also come with an adapter and mini NES controller, Kotaku wrote in a separate article. The 30 games in the mini NES console were apparently picked by Nintendo based on how popular they were back in the game.

For those asking if Nintendo is planning to bust out more classic games apart from the 30 pre-loaded ones in the mini NES, the short answer is no. Buying the mini NES console with 30 pre-loaded games for just $60 is a good deal itself. That makes it $2 per game minus the console. For other consoles like SNES and N64, there are currently no announcements for miniature versions of these devices either.
