'No Man's Sky' Patch 1.24 Now Available for PC and PS4, Provides Needed Fix for Player Bases

Bug that could previously cause 'No Man's Sky' to freeze up also included in Patch 1.24

The developers of "No Man's Sky" have been pretty active this month, rolling out new features and fixes for the space-faring and exploration game via patches. And just recently, another one was released again.

Patch 1.24 is the latest downloadable players can get for the game, and this one contains some valuable fixes that get rid of some really bothersome bugs.

Detailed over on the game's official website, Patch 1.24 will feature one particular fix that will make sure that the player's bases will always show up as intended. Given that bases can now be highly customized, the last thing players will want is for them to suddenly not appear, and this patch helps make sure that will no longer be a problem moving forward.

Another important fix included in Patch 1.24 will eliminate a bug that could cause the game to freeze as players were traveling through space. Players need to do a lot of flying around in space inside "No Man's Sky," so nixing a bug that can potentially make this part of the game problematic is important.

There are other rare bugs that could also bring about freezes that are taken out by Patch 1.24.

Light shafts have also been optimized, according to the developers, and this improvement allows for them to now be enabled as well in the PlayStation 4 version of the game.

The Steam Controller should also work better once the patch has been installed, and additional frame rate improvements have been included as well.

Performance tweaks are also bundled together in this patch.

Developers have also urged players to continue reporting any other issues that they may still experience as they go on playing the game, and if any are spotted, these could be addressed in later patches.

More news about other patches that may be released for "No Man's Sky" should be made available soon.
