'No Man's Sky' PS4 Release Date News: Summer 2015 Launch? Sky Beta Keys A Scam

Speculations over a "No Man's Sky" release date for PS4 and PC as early as Summer 2015 are making the rounds, just as a tweet from Hello Games has been circulating warning players the game's beta keys are a scam.

With gamers anticipating Hello Games to announce a June 2015 release date for "No Man's Sky" in PS4 and PC versions, the game developer tweeted a warning for players to steer clear of bogus beta keys for the adventure video game.

"PLS NOTE! If you find a site claiming it has No Man's Sky beta keys it's a SCAM, and you should close the tab with a derisive harrumph." Hello Games posted on its Twitter feed Thursday.

Players awaiting the starship adventure will have to content themselves with a vague Summer 2015 launch date to be first to have the privilege of experiencing open-ended space exploration.

Game fans sent a series of tweets to Hello Games expressing their impatience and requesting for beta keys despite the British video game developer's scam warnings.

Meanwhile, Director Sean Murray assured gamers that work on the PS4 version has been stepped up to ensure the its release as early as possible.

"No Man's Sky" will give players a shot at dogfights and gear upgrades while they complete missions in free form gameplay set in the center of the universe. Among the features anticipated are seamless flights on planet surfaces, discovery sharing on the map of the galaxy, and exploration adventures on epic journeys.

The PS4 version of the game is expected to be released on or before the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles in June. The PC version will be timed to follow right after.
